JioFi is a type of wireless portable router that lets you connect to Jio’s 4G internet and create your personal hotspot. It was introduced by Reliance Digital which became the third largest mobile network operator in India and ninth in the world. JioFi is powered by Jio sim card that is commonly used in smartphones.
However, no matter how popular and great the broadband service are, there are times that the device (hardware) might face issues and errors on network connections. This is a usual scenario whether you are using wired/wireless/portable router to access the internet.
To provide you with some help, here are the methods and solutions you may do in case you are having trouble with your JioFi network connectivity. Before doing the solutions below, please check JioFi’s default information in case you reset your JioFi password before.
How to Fix JioFi Network Connectivity Issues
Solution 1. Reboot/Restart JioFi
Rebooting can be done in just a few steps. Turn off your JioFi and wait for approximately 5 minutes. After 5 minutes, turn it on again and let the device start and back to its stable manner. Connect your device to the internet and check if the problem has been fixed.
Solution 2. Hard Reset JioFi
Hard resetting means to bring back the device to its default settings. The steps are:
Step 1. The first thing you need to do is to disconnect all the devices connected to JioFi.
Step 2. Then, get your JioFi and uncover the back. Do not turn it off.
Step 3. Look for the reset button that is usually located beside the battery.
Step 4. Using a sim ejector or a pin, press the button inside for approximately 10-30 seconds.
Step 5. Once you see that the lights started to blink, let go of the button and the device will reboot automatically.
Step 6. When JioFi turned on, open it on your browser using its IP address to access the settings.
Step 7. Set-up the configurations because once you reset the device. the settings will be back to its default.
After resetting JioFi, try to connect a device and check if the network issue has been fixed.
Solution 3. Restore JioFi
This method does not need the JioFi to be turned off and commonly fix the red blinking signal.
Step 1. Open your browser and enter the IP address for JioFo or you may simply key in jiofi.local.html.
Step 2. Log in using your ID and password.
Step 3. Click the User Management Tab.
Step 4. Click “Restore” to restore the device and its connection.
